Starting from the 4th of April changes on residence registration/ changing the place of residence in Ukraine came into force.
From now to obtain a mark in a passport or in a residence permit with a registered address of residence we will need to apply to the executive body of the city council through the center of provision of administrative services. There are several territorial subdivisions of the center of provision of administrative services in Lviv, so the citizens could choose the one nearest to them. The main office is located in the city center: 1 Rynok square.
In general, the list of needed documents and the procedure of residence registration/ changing the place of residence have not changed substantially. Furthermore, the Rules on residence registration were drew up by Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine where all the needed information is established. According to this Rules the procedure of residence registration/changing the place of residence will be completed the same day when submitting all needed documents.
Let us remind that a person, whether it is a citizen of Ukraine of foreigner who has a temporary/permanent residence permit in Ukraine are obliged to register their place of residence during 30 days starting from a date of residence deregistration or from a date of arrival to the new place of residence. Otherwise, administrative responsibility is provided by Ukrainian legislation.
