The moratorium on the alienation of agricultural land was extended until January 1, 2017

The Parliament of Ukraine adopted the Law «On amendments to Section X "Transitional Provisions "of the Land Code of Ukraine on the extension of the alienation prohibition of agricultural land» on November 10, 2015.  

The Law make provision on extension of the moratorium on the alienation of agricultural land which means that it isn’t allowed to sell/buy agricultural land that is on state/communal property until January 1, 2017

“This time is needed to develop a clear legal framework of establishment transparent market of agricultural land”, - stated on a web-site of a President.

 The Law came into force on December 9, 2015.
