Supply Chain Manager in Lviv region

Danish furniture production company is looking for Supply Chain Manager

Location: Lviv region

Subordination: 400 persons (3 persons in total in purchasing department)   

Purpose of the job: Responsible for directing the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and procedures within the organization related to supply chain management. Responsible for managing and overseeing the methods and processes in support of both new and existing products.

Key responsibilities

• Select profitable suppliers, outline requirements
• Manage contracts on national and international levels

·         Source goods and services for best cost and quality, ensure on-time-delivery

• Make sure there are at least 2 suppliers of critical raw materials
• Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms

·         Manage cost refund from suppliers for quality/delivery problems

• Keep track on prices for raw materials to ensure the best market price at any time
• Enable Purchasing department flexibility to rapid switch between different supply contracts and agreements   
• Strive for the stock optimization, maintain accurate tools inventory
• Support supplier relationship and supplier performance evaluation

Preferred background and experience

• University or college degree in a related field, and at least 2 years' of relevant work experience
• Ability to interface and communicate on different levels of organization, and with external vendors
• Excellent risk management performance
• Well organized & disciplined, good attention to detail, sets priorities and manages time effectively
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications
• English – good working knowledge

Advantage would be

• Experience in furniture, moulding or wood-processing industry
• Experienced in modern manufacturing methods (e.g. Lean Manufacturing)
